Covid-19 Update

Dear Patients of Orthopedic Specialists of Oakland County,

The physicians at OSOC continue to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak via the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Michigan Department of Public Health (DPH)

The protocols are evolving, and we are working to mitigate any impact on our providers, staff and patients and our community. We will be reducing our patient visits over the next 2 weeks. We ask all patients and their guests who have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, have been exposed to a person with the coronavirus, the flu or any other communicable disease, or have traveled to an area impacted by the coronavirus to reschedule their appointments or surgeries for at least 14 days. Please understand that if you arrive for your appointment and are requested to reschedule, this is being done in the best interest of our staff, patients and the general public.

We have posted signs in our offices and are following CDC recommendations for screening and management of patients. Staff are asking all patients screening questions when they schedule and check in for their appointments. If you are at all concerned that you may have been exposed to or are infected with the coronavirus or any infectious disease, your best course of action is to seek care at your local hospital’s emergency department.

We also ask that patients do not bring visitors with them to their appointments unless the patient is a minor or requires assistance.

Again, this is an evolving situation. We are closely monitoring it and providing our patients and staff with updates, as well as posting updates on our website. OSOC is committed to doing our part to minimize the impact of this virus on our patients and community.
