Here at Orthopaedic Specialists of Oakland County, the health and safety of our patients and employees are paramount to our core values.

As a result, we are taking the threat of COVID-19 seriously and are enforcing some steps to help mitigate the spread of the corona virus if it comes to our community. Our physicians and employees have been instructed to be diligent about washing their hands or using sanitizer before and after contact with patients. We will be reducing the amount of social contact with patients as well, so while physical exam is essential to the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic issues, we will not shake hands or initiate excessive contact upon greeting our patients. We are reminded to cough or sneeze into an arm or tissue instead of into hands. We are also cleaning computers and the surfaces of other equipment often. Finally, we encourage patients, employees, and physicians to stay home if they are feeling sick.

We have always practiced medicine in a clean and safe environment. The above steps were implemented before the recent corona virus scare and are tantamount to normal hygiene. However, we are more cognizant of the importance of diligent attention to detail with regard to mitigating the spread of infection. Feel free to call or speak with your physician if you have any questions or concerns.
